SmartClinic AI is developed and operated by SMARTCLINIC AI HK LIMITED. It is a WhatsApp-based AI appointment-automation system built specifically for Hong Kong private clinics.

The problem we solve

Clinics in Hong Kong face the same daily frustrations: front-desk staff constantly calling patients to confirm appointments, after-hours enquiries going unanswered, and patients lost to missed follow-ups. We set out to automate this essential but time-consuming work using the tool patients already use every day — WhatsApp.

How it works

Powered by Meta's official WhatsApp Business API and a Cantonese-native AI, patients can book appointments, check their queue status, and receive follow-up reminders 24/7. The system also proactively checks in with patients and invites them back for follow-ups. Nurses manage everything from a dedicated dashboard and can take over any conversation in one click, with seamless AI-to-human switching.

Security & compliance

The platform runs on Google Cloud Platform's enterprise-grade infrastructure, stores data in encrypted form, and complies with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). It handles only administrative tasks — appointments, queueing, and reminders — and never provides medical diagnosis or advice.
